Why doesn’t my product’s barcode appear in the search results?

This means the product has not yet been submitted to GTINLookup.org. To add your product, please submit your barcode and related data via gtinlookup.org/gtin-submission.

What does the “Verified by RGBN” seal indicate?

This seal signifies that a member site of the RGBN (Retiec Global Barcode Network) has verified the company’s ownership of the GTIN purchased through an RGBN-authorized site.

Why is there no “Verified by RGBN” seal on some listings?

GTIN Lookup is open to submissions from all sources, including current GS1 members and barcodes sold by other resellers. The absence of the seal does not imply any issues with the listing. However we regularly review and remove the following:

– Listings with fabricated numbers
– Listings that cannot be traced via RGBN, GS1, or grandfathered UCC-issued barcodes
– Listings with invalid numbers, such as those with an incorrect check digit
– Duplicate listings or recycled barcodes assigned to different products

Why do some listings have more detailed information than others?

GTIN Lookup is an ever-evolving platform that is continually updated. No barcode database is entirely comprehensive, regardless of the number of entries. As we grow, more information will become available for various listings.
